Hypocrisy, Contradictions, and Lies

by Michael Harr

Today’s sermon is a very touchy subject due to the very nature of it. Today we are going to talk about hypocrisy, contradictions and even lies as these things directly affect the where a soul ends up at the time of the final judgement.

Matthew 23:27-28″Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

Christ further demonstrates the hypocrisy of his time when he approached and saw a Pharisee praying.

Luke 18:11-12 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people–robbers, evildoers, adulterers–or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’

Today, just about anywhere you look you can find hypocrites. I describe one type of hypocrite as one who will preach one thing but then not practice what they preach. They might also preach against something that they themselves practice. Christ Yeshua addressed those who did these things in

Matthew 7:1-5 “Don’t judge others, or you will be judged. You will be judged in the same way that you judge others, and the amount you give to others will be given to you. “Why do you notice the little piece of dust in your friend’s eye, but you don’t notice the big piece of wood in your own eye? How can you say to your friend, ‘Let me take that little piece of dust out of your eye? Look at yourself! You still have that big piece of wood in your own eye. You hypocrite! First, take the wood out of your own eye. Then you will see clearly to take the dust out of your friend’s eye.

The Lord truly hates hypocrisy. The one who as I described before would say one thing and yet do another or the opposite. One claiming to serve the Lord but does the opposite of what the Lord says or not at all.

Luke 6:46 Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ but not do what I say?

and furthermore in

Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father in heaven. On that day many will say to Me, Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, drive out demons in Your name, and do many miracles in Your name?’ Then I will announce to them, I never knew you! Depart from Me, you lawbreakers!’

Trust me the last sentence is the one sentence nobody will ever want to hear.

Hypocrisy is a big deal and it is clear if you do not change and repent that Christ will not allow you to enter into the New Kingdom. Think about this for a moment, really introspect into yourself before you go to judge someone else falsely. Do you claim to have some form of morals but then do not practice those morals? Do you claim to do something but do not actually practice what you preach? Do you do something but get mad at others for doing the exact same thing you do yourself?

Let’s take a look at some prime examples of hypocrisy that can be pretty common…

You cannot tell someone to eat healthy while you yourself eat junk food..
You cannot tell people to exercise when you do not exercise yourself…
You cannot tell people to not steal but you yourself steal…

The same would go for other sins like lying… But now let’s talk about some hypocrisy when it comes to the faith…

You cannot claim to serve the Lord but act in complete opposition to him and his ways…
You cannot tell others to obey his laws, commandments, statutes and edicts if you do not follow them yourself…
You cannot claim to love the Lord in the eyes of the public but in private speak ill of him…

It is very much like the Pharisee from Luke 18:11-12…

Hypocrisy is the appearance of having morals or proclaiming to follow a certain way of doing things but your actions are in complete opposition to what you proclaim with your mouth.

Which brings us to the second topic of today’s sermon… contradictions.

One of the primary examples we use today of contradiction lays with the false apostle Paul. Paul would most often preach things that were contrary to what Christ himself and the rest of the scriptures said. One primary example is the Law of Moses. Paul said that Christ abolished the law in Ephesians 2:15  and Romans 7:6. Yet Yeshua said in

Matthew 5:17 Do not think that I have come to revoke The Written Law or The Prophets; I am not come to revoke but to fulfill.

The Apostle Paul said in

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law, to bring righteousness to everyone who believes.

But Yeshua said in

Matthew 5:18 Amen, I say to you that until Heaven and earth will pass away, one Yodh or one Taag and will not pass away from The Written Law until everything will happen.

Paul said in

Romans 3:20 by works of the Law no human will be justified

But this is in direct opposition to what Christ and the rest of the scriptures preach. Yeshua said in…

Matthew 19:17 If you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.

These are just some of many contradictions found between the false apostle Paul and what Yeshua The Messiah actually preached as well as the rest of the Prophets in the scriptures. This also goes along with the previous topic of hypocrisy with regards saying one thing but doing another. It is not just limited to speaking one thing and DOING something else…. Contradictions primarily arise in speech. Where a person will say one thing one time and then at another time will speak something else that contradicts when they said previously. This creates mass confusion and ultimately results in the loss of trust in the person who is making these many contradictions, as well as respect.

Christ never contradicts himself.

Hebrews 13:8 Yeshua the Messiah is the same yesterday, today and forever.

James 1:17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whome there is no variation or shifting shadow.

Christ does not change and he has told everyone that those who have seen him have seen the Father. Now while the two are not the same that can be saved for a different day, suffice to say that both of them and their habits, and ways are the same. They do not change, there is no hypocrisy or contradictions. Some might see contradictions but that is only because they have not sought after understanding as earnestly as they claim. We must seek to fully understand something that is taught and not simply believe we know better than him, this is called arrogance.

Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened

God is not some far off fantasy concept that many have made him out to be. He is real and extremely logical. Every edict, every statute and every commandment has a reason, a purpose and logic behind it. Our ways and thoughts, our actions must be in line with his. We cannot claim to love him and serve him but act against his commandments, laws and edicts. Likewise, GOD’S laws are perfect and that is the Law we must return to and live by, not the flawed laws of man that can be very arbitrary and useless with absolutely no logic behind them. Even the Georgia guide stones are based within the same arena of logic and reason, and some believe that it contradicts the laws of God but there is nothing to base that upon.

Everything that we do as humans must reflect upon God’s ways and we must strive to be perfect like our father in heaven, to live in truth and without hypocrisy and contradictions.

Now we come to Lies….

If it wasn’t enough that God and the Messiah hated hypocrisy and Contradictions in people, just imagine the fury and anger they feel hearing a lie, imagine hearing multiple lies, or someone who constantly lies, or even the worst of all a habitual liar.

The Lord hates lies, especially when it is does out of malice or to “cover one’s own ass” if you will excuse the language for a moment. He insists in honesty in all things. Now we are not talking about good natured humor and jokes but lies designed to hide the truth, even a “white lie” is still a lie.

Let’s begin with the type of lie that most people believe is the least harmful and least…. Offensive. The “white lie”

White Lie
Noun

A lie that is told in order to be polite or to stop someone from being upset by the truth.

The other definition is…

A lie that is about a subject that is not very important, or one that is told to be polite or kind.

Example…… You tell someone they look great but secretly you feel the opposite you think they are ugly. You tell someone their hair looks good when you really think it looks horrendous. Another example could be you tell someone that the food you are eating tastes good but secretly you hate it. I am sure you can’t take these few examples and come up with a whole litany of other examples.

No matter what it is, a white lie or another form of lie to “get out of trouble” it is still a lie and one must know that ALL lies will be exposed.

Luke 12:3 “For everything that you will say in darkness shall be heard in the light and whatever you whispered in an ear in an inner chamber will be preached on the rooftops.”

You cannot hide the truth from anyone and especially not God it will always be exposed sooner or later. Another example of this can be seen right now in the world stage with the United states and even worldwide.

Right now there is a massive voter fraud happening in the United States and while many knew about some of it in the past election it was never done to this extent and it is a massive lie committed by THOUSANDS of people in collusion, but even that lie cannot remain hidden because President Trump is working hard to expose this fraud to the world.

On the worldwide scale many are waking up to the truth regarding Covid-19 and even recently with the many “false positives”. Some high ranking people who claimed to have tested positive in the beginning are coming out saying they never had it. Even the code Prime Cleric Richard Ruff found said it is a fraudulent virus. Many people are now becoming very aware of this while others have completely bought into the mass hysteria and fear the Media have pushed.

Years ago during world war II a Nazi Propaganda Minister by the name of Joseph Goebbels said “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it people will eventually come to believe it” This is a tactic used by Satan himself the father of lies because he has told humanity certain fallacies that are not even based in reality, logic, and rationale and has convinced the world to believe it. We call it “The great deception”.

There is one key difference between the truth and a lie….. the truth is always the same, it cannot change or be altered, it does not contradict itself, there is no discrepancy in the truth or a truthful story. While someone who is telling a lie must REMEMBER the lie they told exactly the way they told it which is nearly impossible to do because the person telling the lie will always mess up some part of the story and expose the discrepancy and contradiction they tried so hard to hide. It is why those who have become very very astute and pay close attention are able to “smell a lie a mile away” as the saying goes. Especially a very honest person can usually always tell when they are being lied to.

This now brings us to where people who live and breathe lies, hypocrisy and contradicts go. The Lake of fire….

Revelation 21:8 “But to the timid, the unbelievers, the evil, the defiled, murderers, sorcerers, fornicators, idol worshipers and all liars: their part is in the burning Lake of Fire and Brimstone, which is the second death.”

While this verse does not directly say “Hypocrisy” it does fall under the term “Defiled” which most often is translated as “Abominable”. That is right…. Hell, the penal system for unworthy evil souls is where they will go to be punish eternally for their deeds. Truly a scary thought but these are the same people that believe this is the only life they will live, or those who believe there is no life after death. It is those people who believe such things that truly expose the evil within their hearts. However, there is every so often a person who believes those same things about death that do the right thing, and they will be rewarded for sure.

This sermon should serve as a starch reminder and severe warning to ALL who listen to these words as these do not simply come from my own lips but are inspired by the Holy Spirit that wishes ALL to come to repentance and not perish. The time to repent is coming to an end very soon and then FINAL judgement is coming when it will be too late to say “I am sorry”. You have every opportunity to change NOW, earnestly change your ways for the better. To live an honorable life, to stand upright NOW and make the changes necessary for your OWN sake. The Lord wants all to come to the realization of their own follies BEFORE he has no other choice but to point them out…. And at that point it will be too late.

Change now, repent, introspect into yourself deeply and realize where you are committing Hypocrisy, lies or contradictions. Truly ask yourself…. Am I TRULY serving God and the Messiah, upholding his laws, ways and edicts or do I merely proclaim it with my mouth and my actions are completely contrary to my words. Ask yourself if you do hypocritical things in your life…. Do you contradict yourself? Do you tell lies? You have very little time left to make amends and have that epiphany to change your life and ways…. Final judgment is coming. Do not find yourself standing before the messiah wishing you had changed your life prior to that moment when it is too late.
